Gelcoats

Gelcoats are specially modified resins that protect composite parts from UV, weather, hydrolysis, chemicals and can delay the spread of fire. They also provide an aesthetically pleasing surface and can be applied with a roller or a spraying machine.

Our products:

ISO-MODIFIED BASE GELCOAT: Standard and economical industrial application. Suitable for a wide range of applications in industrial, bodywork, construction and general use.

GELCOAT 100% ISOPHTHALIC: Standard application, good UV and hydrolysis resistance. Designed for the needs of the nautical, sanitary, industrial, bodywork and construction markets. Available in a low-styrene version.

NPG ISOPHTHALIC GELCOAT: Excellent resistance to UV and osmosis. This gelcoat is developed for the sanitary, swimming pool, boating, industry and motorhome manufacturing markets. Available in a low-styrene version.

GELCOAT VINYL ESTER: For the production of tools, very good resistance to chemicals and temperature.

GELCOAT SANDABLE: Used at the bottom of the mould mainly in bodywork.

FIRE RESISTANT GELCOAT: ideal for Railway and Construction applications.

Rompolimer offers the EUROCOLOR system.

The EUROCOLOR system is the solution to produce locally and quickly, a very wide range of gelcoat colors based on polyester resin: orthophthalic, isophthalic and isophthalic NPG.

The machine uses several pigment pastes, without styrene. Depending on the shades chosen, it will automatically dose the selected pigments and add them to the predefined gelcoat base. It only takes a few minutes to do the dosing and mixing in a gyroscopic mixer.

This extremely precise and reproducible system allows the production and delivery of multiple gelcoat colors in a short time. A very efficient solution, for a better service to our customers.
